XE-Ultra Core and XE-Ultra then move into a larger linear-rail/ball-screw architecture and deliberately separate the motion platform from the spindle and worktable purchase.

Masuter 3S moves to 95 mm Z, a 400W DC spindle, closed-loop motors on the normalized axes, dual HG15 rails on Z and a published 800 × 400 mm extension configuration.
Masuter 3S also has explicit current material wording covering wood, acrylic, carbon fiber and soft metal/aluminum. That is useful evidence for material filtering, but it is still not a promise of feed rate, depth of cut or finish. Masuter Pro Max 2x2: the size-first Masuter option
The 2x2 model changes the project envelope to 600 × 600 mm—about 23.6 × 23.6 inches—and includes a 500W brushless spindle. That gives it a clear size role between the 400 mm Masuter/XE machines and the 840 mm XE-Ultra.
The normalized record deliberately leaves Z travel unknown because the current source set did not support a safe exact value. That is a good example of why a larger headline class should not silently fill in missing dimensions. If Z capacity could change your project, treat the missing field as something to verify before buying.

The physical-size difference is substantial. Core lists a machine around 1013 × 1013 × 503 mm; XE-Ultra lists roughly 1415 × 1244 × 505 mm. If a 33-inch-class cutting area is attractive, make sure the surrounding shop space, stock handling and table/support plan are equally realistic. Support and warranty are useful context, not a performance score
The current normalized FoxAlien records carry a one-year warranty field, and current product pages state lifetime customer support. That is useful purchase-context evidence, especially for a first machine or recurring work, but it does not make one model technically suitable for a project it cannot fit. Work area, material evidence, cutting system and motion requirements still come first.
